free hugs for Artful Blogger Magazine:)

Yesterday was the most perfectly perfect day I could ever wish
for. It was a day of sunshine and bluer than blue skies.
A beckoning day with a burst of spring in the air inspiring me to
wear my vintage pink dress over jeans with just a cardigan and
pink converse sneakers. The beaming~brightly sort of day that
inspires a trip to Seattle with a chatty friend playing mixed cd's
and singing in the car the whole way:

It was a day of breakfast (veggie omelette, coffee, fruit)
at the Athenian Inn diner in Pike's market (where Tom Hanks his
very cute self filmed a scene for "Sleepless in Seattle) and
wandering through endless galleries and bookshops in
charming alley's dotted with planter boxes filled with
newborn blooms.
Oh! and for bumping into jugglers and jazzy street musicians
while sipping chai with raspberry croissants from the
french bakery on the cobblestone street. (because let's face
it when you are happy you tend to eat these sort of things
without any guilt whatsoever)

It was a day where I felt so incredibly thrilled when I picked
up my copy of Artful Blogger magazine at Barnes and Noble
and saw persisting stars featured in their gorgeous and beautifully
designed magazine. This generous invitation to participate
in this captivating publication connected me with one of the most
warmhearted and encouraging editors ~ Staci Dumoski ~ (smooch!)
I have ever met, who, when I went into a spiral of writer's block
gave me extra time and offered to help me out if i needed it.
Thank you so very very much Artful Blogger and FREE HUGS
for you!! I have been curled up today reading all the features
of visually gifted bloggers and getting lots of new ideas for
my blog:) It is an absolutely breathtaking magazine:)

It was a day of discovering a vintage clothing shop in the old
part of Seattle and finding the most prettiest indian paisley
dress that fit me so perfectly making me want to jump
on a plane and head straight back to the country that owns
my heart and soul:)

Oh and it was also a day for losing almost all of my photo's
that i took in Seattle but hey ...i refuse to dwell on that:)

How was your weekend? What did you do?

Gustavo Dudamel ~ the passionate conductor....:)

:) (this makes me burst into tears of joy at the end every time:)

So glad the magazine is out at last! Ordered a copy online, but still waiting for it to arrive. Sounds like a perfectly delightful day in Seattle - a feast for all the senses! Lucky you (except for the losing photos bit)! xoxox

oh! how great! i'm going to look for that magazine at my local big box book store. i just made a {flickr} post
about being published ~ how lovely that feeling is.

i had a great weekend, too. spent with friends
celebrating birthdays & friendship, the (soon come)
end of winter. saturday evening
i hosted a party and we celebrated the time with
too much good food, homemade chocolate cake &
strawberry tarts, grapefruit & lime spritzers, heineken beer and red wines, and handmade party hats (from kaunda). one friend suggested that we all celebrate our 100th birthday ~ so we won't need
to worry about being too old then. so we did that, too.

it was a blowout party.
i played records ALL night ~ and we danced into
the wee small hours of the morning and then had
chai tea and love songs.

: )

Hi Maddie,

Since you seem to love music and love the Indian subcontinent, I thought I would give you the link to a piece of music I find very moving. Hope you like it too.
